Q: What are the Future Digital Content Beacons?
A:
These two Beacons tackle the future of digital content, how people will experience it and how it will be distributed. They are so closely related we are running them in tandem. We know these are really hot topics, with lots of people wanting to contribute so they are going to spark a very big debate.

Q: Can you explain the differences between the two Beacon Projects?
A:
One is focused on how consumers will interact with and consume digital content in the future. The other will focus on the background systems, networks and services for distributing and commercialising this content. Much of the research and debate will cut across both Beacons, so you may want to join both.

Q: Who are they aimed at?
A:
Anyone who is interested in the future of digital content! This will include businesses in the creative industries, technology developers and suppliers, research and development organisations in both the public and private sectors, investors, funding organisations, commentators and policy makers.

Q: Is the Creative Industries KTN working with anyone else on the digital beacons.
A:
The Future Digital Content Beacons are being run in partnership with leading design and innovation practitioners TheAlloy.

Q: What will the tangible outcomes be?
A:
A clear picture of the key technologies and trends that will impact the future of digital content distribution and how people experience it. Action plans to stimulate and support innovation in the creative industries. Cross disciplinary networks created via the social networking platform driving the creation of new industry relationships, partnerships and funding opportunities.

A:
