Promoting EU funding to the creative industries

We have published a new report that sets out a strategy to promote EU funding opportunities to CI KTN members. The report provides a high level view of EU opportunities that are relevant to creative businesses and how the CI KTN can support members by identifying these opportunities and respond to them.

Industrial CASE Awards 2010

The Creative Industries KTN has successfully bid for six EPSRC Industrial CASE studentships for 2010 and we now invite applications from companies for these industry-sponsored PhD awards. Industrial CASE Awards enable companies to take the lead in defining and arranging projects with an academic partner of their choice.

Metadata: increasing the value of digital content

Metadata is one of the hot-topics for creative businesses but the challenge is how to unlock the potential revenues from the metadata held in digital content. The Technology Strategy Board has launched a £5m competition to help businesses tackle this challenge.
The competition paper have been published and can be downloaded on our site. The paper gives details of the two streams, fast track and mainstream projects, including the timeline for taking part.

£18m "Collaboration across Digital Industries"

The Technology Strategy Board is investing £18m over the next 12 months in a competition to fund collaborative R and D and trials projects. Full details of the competition are available in this document.
