Dynamic Content Metadata

To engage an expert to add metadata to content is usually prohibitively expensive compared to the value that can be extracted from it. However, a business model where metadata gives early benefits to the content creator that will, for example save production waste or increase audience engagement, will not be perceived as an overhead and the process can become a sustainable business opportunity.
Metadata adds value that can be used throughout the content production all the way to digital distribution. For example; metadata at the start of video creation process (that capture content of film scripts) gives writer and director insights into how the script text can be improved.
But it is when the content changes that a problem arrises. In the example, the film script is rewritten based on feedback. Even though much of the content that the metadata relates to is unchanged, the original metadata no longer matches. In my experience, this has meant that it has to be generated once again - which given current technology, is unworkable.
This is not just specific to script and video content creation, it is a fundamental problem of any metadata that is matched to changing content. This is true for metadata that is added early in the process and will become increasingly true of content that is expected to be dynamic when served in the digital realm.
A technology that addresses this problem will be relevant to metadata that is expected to work with content that develops or changes in any way, which is fast becoming what most content businesses are working with. I would be pleased to hear from others who find a solution to this is relevant to their business.
